KING COLE HATH RETURNED

King Cole is back, now let’s hope the rest of the starting pitching can follow. The Phils bats were definitely alive as Utley, Coste, and Werth all homered. The Phils also caught some luck when Hamels sent a 2-0 pitch from Reyes (really don’t know why he was swinging with a 2-0 count) dribbling up the first base line and Reyes fielded it and threw it away, allowing 2 runs to score. After that Rollins made him really pay with a 2 run double. Hamels finished the night with 6 IP 2 ER and 7Ks, all in all a very promising performance. Unfortunately when Lidge came in for the 9th he gave up a 3 run homer to Krotchman, making the score 10-6. Lidge has allowed far too many homers this year already and I am pretty concerned. But bottom line is we won and we remain in first place for another day, even with both the Mets and Marlins winning.

Check out the find by Meech over at TheFightins.com that led to Todd Zolecki asking Shane about it. Cool stuff.

That’s a great screen grab. Must have been quite disgusting putting that together.

Look at the shear determination in screencap 1. Man on a mission, maybe he should douche his nose.
