Well, as positive as I try to stay, I did not see that 9th inning coming. Especially after Howard grounded out into the shift to begin the inning. I’m sure most of you saw it or saw the highlights by now but for those who didn’t why don’t we call on play by play to show us the beauty of what happened…

B:0 S:0 O:0 – Defensive Substitution: Brett Carroll replaces left fielder Jeremy Hermida, batting 6th, playing left field.

B:0 S:0 O:0 – Pitcher Change: Matt Lindstrom replaces Leo Nunez, batting 9th.

B:1 S:0 O:1 – Ryan Howard grounds out, second baseman Dan Uggla to first baseman Ross Gload.

B:0 S:0 O:1 – Jayson Werth doubles (5) on a sharp fly ball to center fielder Cameron Maybin.

B:4 S:1 O:1 – Raul Ibanez walks.

B:0 S:0 O:1 – Offensive Substitution: Pinch hitter Matt Stairs replaces Pedro Feliz.

B:2 S:2 O:1 – Matt Stairs singles on a ground ball to right fielder Cody Ross. Jayson Werth scores. Raul Ibanez to 3rd.

B:0 S:0 O:1 – Offensive Substitution: Pinch runner Miguel Cairo replaces Matt Stairs.

B:4 S:1 O:1 – Lou Marson walks. Miguel Cairo to 2nd.

B:4 S:1 O:1 – Coaching visit to mound.

B:0 S:0 O:1 – Offensive Substitution: Pinch hitter Eric Bruntlett replaces Clay Condrey.

B:0 S:3 O:2 – Eric Bruntlett called out on strikes.

B:4 S:1 O:2 – Jimmy Rollins walks. Raul Ibanez scores. Miguel Cairo to 3rd. Lou Marson to 2nd.

B:2 S:1 O:2 – Shane Victorino hits a grand slam (2) to right field. Miguel Cairo scores. Lou Marson scores. Jimmy Rollins scores.

B:3 S:2 O:2 – Chase Utley homers (5) on a line drive to right field.

B:3 S:2 O:2 – Coaching visit to mound.

B:0 S:0 O:2 – Pitcher Change: Renyel Pinto replaces Matt Lindstrom, batting 9th.

B:1 S:0 O:2 – Ryan Howard doubles (5) on a sharp fly ball to center fielder Cameron Maybin.

B:4 S:2 O:2 – Jayson Werth walks.

B:2 S:3 O:3 – Raul Ibanez strikes out swinging.

Thing of beauty isn’t it? Another couple things worth noting from the game would be Myers going 6 IP and only giving up 3 earned runs, although it was on another fucking homer, and lowering his ERA to 4.91 on the year. Had he not allowed that home run then his ERA would only be 3.91, a full run lower. But forget that it was still a good start, he kept us in the game. Also Condrey continued his recent success throwing 2 shutout innings in the 7th and 8th innings, funny how he has recently become a late inning pitcher now. It was a pretty boring game until that 9th inning but completely worth it in the end. Also I’d like to note that the Sixers won on a last second shot by Thaddeus Young and I have full confidence the Flyers will rape the Pens tomorrow and force a game 7.

Lastly everyone check out Canadian Wood and his push to get Stairs in the All Star Game and while you are voting let’s help make it 4 straight for Utley and try to get Rauuuuuuuuul in as well.

You look like a demented Will Smith, douche…
