It took a while but the Phillies beat the Brewers 11-4 last night. I was as surprised as most others when they decided to resume play at 10:45PM when the Phils had an 8 run lead at the time, but they did and the Phils hung on for the win. Condrey pitched the last 2 outs of the 7th inning, unfortunately giving up a swinging bunt to Ryan Braun that scored a run, which was charged to Moyer. So that is another start with 4 runs given up, although this was obviously a big improvement. Pete Happy hit an opposite field homer, which was his first of the season. All around a good game and fun to watch. During the rain delay I flipped over to the Mets game and they were winning 4-0, but there is something about when I watch a Mets game. When I watch they always seem to fail just a little bit more than usual. Which bring us to a unprecedented event here at Long Drive, a Douche of the Day AND Fail Stamp combo thanks to Mets left fielder Daniel Murphy. Enjoy.

That play by Murphy was so sad. It looks hilarious and ridiculous, but I actually feel bad for the poor douche.
