PHILS TIE BLUE JAYS AND MANUEL’S BUTT

WERTH WENT 2 FOR 3 WITH A HOMER

Yesterday the Phils took on the Blue Jays and ended up tieing them 7-7 after 9 innings. I was kind of hoping the Phils avoided any ties this spring for the simple fact that they just annoy me. Some notables would be J.A. Happ pitched 4 innings giving up 3 runs all on homers. This worries me because I think if Park does run away with this 5th starter job and they give it to him it will be a big mistake. Park is versatile and can have success in the pen whereas Happ is made to be a starter and is obviously better at it then coming out of the pen. I understand if Park pitches the best he deserves it, especially after turning down his Korean WBC team to stay in camp with the Phils to show he can start, but I would just be a lot more comfortable having Happ as the 5th starter. Anyway, Werth went 2 for 3 with a double and a 3 run homer that gave the Phils the lead at the time. Dobbs had a sac fly and Utley collected his first Grapefruit League hit.

JUST A REENACTMENT

JUST A REENACTMENT

Manuel was recently absent from the Phils Spring Training games because he was getting his heart checked gearing up for an ass exam. As We Should Be GM’s points out, Manuel used to have to wear a colostomy bag under his jacket back in his Cleveland days. Manuel assures everyone he is fine and it was no big deal. So from us, get better Charlie.
