Yesterday the Phillies downed the Braves for their second straight spring win, and second total. Myers started off the game going 3 innings and giving up 2 earned runs while Park also pitched making his Phillies debut and gave up 1 run in 3 innings of work. Giles was impressive with 2 hits in 3 at bats with an RBI and 2 stolen bases. So everyone in the fight for the fifth starter job has had one go around but it is still far too early to pick a favorite at this point.

Todd Zolecki, our resident lineup haver and general information giver, has today’s lineup against the Blue Jays in Dunedin and the lineup for the B game in which Blanton and Moyer will be pitching in Clearwater:

In Dunedin
1. Eric Bruntlett, CF
2. Miguel Cairo, 3B
3. Raul Ibanez, DH
4. Ryan Howard, 1B
5. John Mayberry, RF
6. Pablo Ozuna, 2B
7. Jeremy Slayden, LF
8. Jason Donald, SS
9. Ronny Paulino, C

In Clearwater
1. Jason Ellison, CF
2. Marcus Giles, 2B
3. Geoff Jenkins, RF
4. Greg Dobbs, DH
5. Lou Marson, C
6. Mike Cervenak, 3B
7. Andy Tracy, 1B
8. Jayson Werth, LF
9. Jorge Velandia, SS

In Dunedin Happ and Carrasco are both scheduled to pitch again and I hope they go at least 3 each this time. So we get to listen/watch the Phils play in warm weather down in Florida while we freeze our asses off and shovel our bullshit driveways.

Why can’t it be April?
